"Ladies and gentlemen, some call him Lucky, some call him Zimmy, I just call him Bobby - here is Bob Dylan!" George Harrison once announced to Bob Dylan. In 2021, Dylan, the singer/songwriter, lyricist and Nobel Prize winner in literature, turned 80 and Harrison's announcement can still be read as his musical credo to this day: Just as he keeps giving himself new names, he reinvents himself musically always new. This is also reflected in the live concerts of his never-ending tour, as he repeatedly covers, rethinks and interprets his greatest hits beyond recognition. Dylan, who started out as a folk singer with an acoustic guitar and suddenly played amplified at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, which provoked the audience to shout Judas!, is a walking musical phenomenon and chameleon with a huge body of lyrics that now a chronicle of the USA from the 1950s to the present day.
ForThings have changed ensemble members from opera and drama have founded a band with drummer Dominik Fürstberger and present their view of Dylan's work in the form of songs and texts by and about the living legend, whereby the following still applies: The answers / my friend / are blowin' in the wind …
